Enrique cogió un buen palo.

Y dijo: ¡Suéltala, pájaro malvado!
Tú no puedes llevarte el vestido de
Pepita.

El viejo ganso soltó el vestido.

Salió corriendo del patio.

epita se alegró de verlo huir.

Y dió las gracias a Enrique.

Josie has a new pink dress.

She and Henry went to play.

He put his head through the fence.

He caught the dress in his big bill.

Poor Josie was afraid.

"O Henry, come!" said she.

"Here is a great big bird.

Henry got a good big stick.

And he said, "Let her go, you naughty
bird!
You can't have Josie's dress."

The old gander let go of the dress.

He went running out of the yard.

Josie was glad to see him run away.

She said "Thank you" to Henry.
